How long has it been since you have given yourself a moment to relax and enjoy some downtime? If the answer is “too long,” then you are not alone.  There is enough hustle and bustle in our modern lives that it seems like it will drown us sometimes, and it is all we can do to keep our heads above the metaphorical water. 

Thankfully, we have an escape ready and waiting for us; sugar cookies and Sakura Novella green tea. This sweet and simple pairing was subtle enough that we were not overwhelmed, while still bringing a truly enjoyable flavor combination. The gentle flavor of the cookies really brought out the rose of the tea, while the cherry notes tempered the sweetness of said cookies.

This is a great pairing for days when you want something simple and elegant. Try having the cookies plain or dusted with sugar crystals for an extra hint of sweetness.
