My first novel, My Song’s Curse was published through City Owl Press in August of 2020. It’s the first book in a paranormal romance duology about a lonely siren and demigod revolutionary. I wrote the first draft during National Novel Writers Month (NaNoWriMo) in 2017 and it’s been a joy to overhaul, add, and define out the series into the beast it has become.
I also have a contemporary Christmas RomCom called Holiday Hotel publishing November 23rd, also through City Owl Press. It’s a zany holiday romp involving a breakup, corset woes, and a secretive billionaire on a private Caribbean island.

What advice can you offer new writers?
Talk to other writers. It can be a lonely world when you’re squirreled away and trying to figure out a missing piece in your story or what path you want to take to publishing. There are forums and local or virtual writer groups where you can meet people and chat about your methods, progress, and problems. Their eyes don’t glaze over like kind family members, friends, and strangers at the supermarket when you talk about the path your character insists on traveling or what point of view you should focus on. While writers all have their own methods, they still get the process and most are happy to chat about it. Join in the discussion and you may find more support and new friends than you ever expected.

When is your favorite time to drink tea?
My evening wouldn’t be complete without an eight o’clock cup. I’ve been stuck on mint chamomile but have a new ginger chili tisane that is perfect for relaxing evenings.
